The incumbent would be required to ensure that news scripts, on-air graphics and crawlers are succinct, accurate and relevant as well as factually correct, contextual, engaging and in line with eNuus’ writing style and editorial policy.

**Budget Compliance**

**Sub Editing**

Sub-editing eNuus scripts, graphics and crawlers.

Thoroughly check scripts and correct errors, inconsistencies and omissions.

Maintain high standards of spelling and grammar.

Sub-editing headlines and promos.

Assisting with decisions on eNuus writing style.

Skills may be reasonably applied to the same or similar group of tasks as required for the eNuus production process and broadcast.

**Liaison/Co-ordination**

Liaising with Reporters and Anchors, helping them refine story angles and content.

Attending diary meetings, providing input, story ideas and feedback.

Mentoring and training Reporter.

**Bulletin Content**

Write and voice local and international stories, if necessary.

Reviewing scripts and on-screen text in bulletins.

Checking wire services and news feeds for breaking news.

Help decide how best to visually illustrate stories.

**Qualifications**

National Senior Certificate - Essential

Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast/Journalism - Essential

**Experience**

Sub Editing Broadcast/Journalism - 7 years
