Checker: Drawing Office

**JOB PURPOSE**
To review models, arrangements and drawings of draughtspersons to ensure they meet all technical specifications and are according to Company standards. The role includes identifying technical issues and suggesting solutions.
**KEY RESULT AREA**:
- Checked Models and Drawings
- **OBJECTIVES**:
- Check detailed design drawings and specifications thoroughly
- Ensure proposal and costing drawings have no errors
- Check correct mathematical formulae are used and verify design calculations to ensure soundness of the design
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data and analyze to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
- Identify operating deficiencies and correct as required to reduce production problems

- Check that uniform standards are set for design and drawings
- Support the manager with promoting and developing a higher level of drawing skill across the team
- Document and control engineering standards and use in such a way that activities are executed professionally
- Set up, maintain and improve administrative systems for the relevant production divisions activities
- Check BOM and routings in the system (JDE)
