RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a reputable mining company in the Northern Cape to find a skilled Control Room Operator Surface. As a Control Room Operator Surface, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling surface mining operations to ensure safe and efficient production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor real-time data and alarms from various surface mining equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
- Coordinate and communicate with mining personnel to optimize production processes
- Record and report production data and equipment performance
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs of all activities
- Collaborate with other operators and supervisors to ensure smooth operations

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Control Room Operator in the mining industry
- Knowledge of surface mining operations and equipment
- Experience with SCADA systems and process control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the mining industry
