Weighroom Controller

**Job purpose**:
The incumbent’s role will be the accurate weighing & dispensing of raw materials for use by Production.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Grade 12.
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a manufacturing/production/process control environment.
- Should be able to work well under pressure in order to achieve daily deadlines.
- Computer literate and possess good mathematical and organizational skills.

**Main areas of responsibility include**:

- Raw material dispensing according to pick list.
- Set-up, cleaning & maintaining equipment in weigh room.
- Completion of documentation & logbooks.
- Ensure clean working environment as well as primary & secondary packaging before it is taken into the clean weigh-room.
- Check all picked items supplied by the store to ensure compliance with quality, description, code, expiry date and batch numbers.
- Report any deviations in equipment, raw material, product codes and batch numbers.
- Daily verification of scales used in this area.
- Ensure the smooth flow of raw material from the pre-staging area, through the weigh-room and into staging for production.
- Full-clean of weigh-room between every new production batch, except when consecutive batches of the same product are dispensed.

**R 38 per hour + 13**th** cheque + benefits
