A Leading Pharmaceutical Company is seeking a Detailing Sales Representative to promote their Respiratory products to Doctors and Specialists within the JHB South region.

Job Description :

  • Promoting and Detailing Respiratory products within the JHB South territory.
  • Clients will include: ENT's, Pulmonologists, Paediatricians, and GP's (Smaller Pharmacies close to Doctors).

Requirements :

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Science / Sales and Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 1-5 years Healthcare / Pharmaceutical experience in Respiratory
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Computer Literate
  • Valid Driver's license and own vehicle

Job Purpose :

  • Responsible for Detailing Doctors and promoting products
  • Responsible for planning and promoting the products as given by the company to achieve your sales target within your region
  • Seek opportunities for growth in your region
  • Building strong relationships with Specialists, CME's and attending congresses
  • Servicing smaller pharmacies close to practices
  • Customer / Client Relationships
  • Training Doctors on products
  • Execute Marketing strategies for doctors
  • Arrange CME's

Key Job Functions :

  • Promoting products to Targeted Doctors – ENT's, Pulmonologists, Pediatricians, General Practitioners
  • Liaise and persuade targeted doctors to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis
  • Selling and promoting against sales targets and achieving territory plan objectives
  • Implementation and execution of value-added programs across territory, CME's
  • Responsible for Smaller Pharmacies / in Practice Pharmacies to keep promoting your products, ensuring when scripts get dispensed that they are captured, and ensuring no out of stock
  • Territory Management and developing a routine call cycle for all customers within the allocated territory
  • Build relationships with target customers to enhance product knowledge and gain product endorsement to generate sales
  • Ensure all target customers are fully informed of the product range, correct product application / dosages by means of regular training and one-on-one detailing
  • General Administration: Consolidating monthly expenses, weekly call planner and feedback on infield activities to Regional Sales Manager
  • Travel to defined geographies to promote products
  • Organizing appointments and meetings with targeted pharmacies and Doctors
  • Identifying and establishing new businesses in your area
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
  • Meeting both the business and scientific needs of the healthcare professional
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
  • Review sales performance in monthly reviews and present territory
  • Attend company meetings, technical data presentations, and briefings
  • Servicing Dispensing Doctor Practices on a monthly basis or as frequently as needed.
  • Exposure to new launches and effectively executing it
