Electrical Drafter

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Drafter / Designer to join their technical services team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for translating engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and schematics for a range of electrical projects. You will work closely with electrical engineers to produce accurate documentation that meets industry standards and project requirements, playing a key role in project execution within the Northern Cape . This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for collaboration in the office and the flexibility to work remotely, making it an attractive opportunity for skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, panel layouts, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in the design process by creating preliminary sketches and detailed drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
• Manage and organize drawing files, ensuring proper version control and archiving.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, structural) to ensure design integration.
• Review and revise drawings based on engineer and client feedback.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Electrical Drafter or Designer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software is essential.
• Familiarity with electrical components, symbols, and standards.
• Understanding of basic electrical principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
