We are on the hunt for a Compliance and Risk Management Analyst to join our client's team.

What You'll Be Doing

The Compliance and Risk Management Analyst is responsible for conducting due diligence on clients and vendors to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other relevant financial laws. The role involves reviewing client documents, performing risk assessments, and identifying suspicious activities to mitigate financial and reputational risks for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) checks on new and existing clients/vendors across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct research on clients using public data sources and regulatory databases.
  • Liaise with clients and sales teams to collect and verify required KYC and legal documentation.
  • Screen entity names against sanctions lists, adverse media reports, and politically exposed persons (PEP) databases.
  • Escalate red flags and due diligence findings to Senior Management for further review.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, AML procedures, and financial regulations while applying a risk-averse approach.
  • Provide advisory support to the business on AML compliance matters.
  • Assist in the development and automation of KYC/AML processes through technology integration.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure regulatory compliance is met across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate records of new clients and vendors within internal financial and compliance systems.
  • Provide administrative support for accounts-related tasks as needed.

  • Work on-site from our office in Ilovo, Sandton
  • Be willing to work non-traditional South African office hours.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
