Our client, a leading Solar Energies company based in Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. This is a key leadership role that will drive the company's financial strategy, ensuring long-term profitability and sustainability while supporting its growth in the renewable energy sector.

Basic Duties :

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and objectives.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis, providing insight and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  • Manage the company's financial risks and investments.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Coordinate and lead audits and liaise with external auditors, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights to support business growth.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
  • Professional qualifications such as CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
  • 10+ years of financial experience, with a proven track record in senior finance roles, preferably in the renewable energy, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, risk management, and corporate finance.
  • Knowledge of South African financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to drive change and influence at the executive level.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
