Real Time Wealth is an independent financial services firm with offices in Tyger Valley and Somerset West.

We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team and work closely with our experienced Financial Advisors and their assistants.

Position: Financial Advisor/Assistant (Medical aid and Gap Cover)

Location: Somerset West

As a Financial Advisor Assistant, you will provide support to the Financial Advisor, specific to Investments. Your role is to support clients with queries and processes to get the most benefits from their products and assist with queries when things don't go as planned.

Daily tasks may include:

  1. Client Onboarding and Support:
  • Ensure correct FICA, RMPC, and all documentation and compliance are in place.
  • Assist clients with queries and processes to maximize benefits from their products.
  • Process switches on Allan Gray and 91 platforms.
  • Handle amendments with financial impact, such as debit order date changes and banking detail updates.
  • General administration and management of the Financial Advisor's diary and emails.
  • Follow up on tasks in process, escalating with providers when out of turnaround time, and keeping clients informed of progress.

Knowledge requirements:

  • Comprehensive definitions used by Investment houses.
  • Basic tax knowledge.
  • Process for amendments with financial impact, i.e. debit order date change, change of banking details, option changes, clawbacks, withdrawals and cancellations.
  • Billing types, i.e. advance and arrears billing.
  • Complete knowledge of transferring pension/provident funds to retail investment platforms.
  • Processes for client education: manual contribution payments, requesting documents and membership cards, app navigation, requesting authorisation, activating benefits and claim process.
  • Good planning, communication, and organising abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • At least 5 years experience in the financial services industry.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English. If either is not your first language the application will be rejected.
  • Accurate and fast typing skills.
