In addition to being passionate about working in this fast-paced organisation, the successful applicant will be responsible for data extraction, analyses, modelling and BI reporting within the Marketing Data Science Hub team.

Key outputs
  1. Perform analyses, provide insights, and build predictive models that will assist with sales, distribution, and general marketing analytics.
  2. Expand the suite of automated analytical / KPI reports used by clients of the Marketing Data Science Hub team (relating to lead volumes, call centre metrics, campaign performance etc.).
  3. Be an enabler of performance marketing, i.e. perform analyses, provide insights, and build predictive models that will assist with:
    1. Client segmentation and ideal client identification.
    2. Development and implementation of targeted marketing strategies.
    3. Optimisation of call centre operations.
  4. Source and provide customised data to the business.
  5. Guide business stakeholders in what data to extract.
  6. Improve processes and databases where opportunities arise.
  7. Interpret and disseminate information via reports and publications.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Strong analytical and statistical modelling / machine learning skills.
  2. Skill in producing BI reports and working with BI software tools (big advantage).
  3. Above average ability to work with, analyse and report on data.
  4. Ability to source data from both structured and unstructured sources.
  5. Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and in conditions of change.
  7. A team player who can work alone when required and without supervision.
  8. Ability to multi-task and to manage workload.
  9. Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
  10. Resilience, enthusiasm, energy and drive.
  11. Ethical and able to maintain confidentiality and manage boundaries.
  12. Aligned to Discovery values and core purpose.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Knowledge of statistical packages (R, SAS, SPSS, Python etc.).
  2. Knowledge of BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
  3. Experience in statistical and machine learning modelling techniques.
  4. High level of computer literacy (advanced MS-Excel and SQL).
  5. 2+ years of work experience as a Data Analyst, Quantitative Analyst or Data Scientist.
