Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician specializing in HVAC systems to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of climate control systems for a diverse range of commercial and residential clients. You will be the primary point of contact for on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance, upholding our client's reputation for excellence and reliability in the Gauteng region. This position offers the chance to work independently, manage your schedule, and directly contribute to customer satisfaction through expert technical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal functionality and prevent breakdowns.
- Install new HVAC systems and components according to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair processes.
- Provide clear explanations of technical issues and proposed solutions to clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports, including parts used and labor hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar field service role.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for HVAC systems.
- Relevant certifications and licenses are highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to safety protocols in Midrand .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
