About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Smart Contract Developer to join their innovative team in Nelspruit . This role is crucial for developing, auditing, and optimizing the smart contracts that power our client's decentralized applications and platforms. You will work on challenging projects, ensuring the security, efficiency, and reliability of our on-chain logic. If you possess a deep expertise in Solidity and a passion for building secure, high-performance smart contracts, this is an exceptional opportunity to lead and innovate within the dynamic blockchain space.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on blockchain platforms like Ethereum.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and security audits of smart contracts written by yourself and other team members.
- Optimize smart contract gas usage and overall performance.
- Collaborate with blockchain architects and developers to define contract specifications and architecture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in smart contract development, security best practices, and relevant cryptographic techniques .
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing best practices for smart contract development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on smart contract development .
- Expert proficiency in Solidity and experience with other smart contract languages.
- Experience with blockchain development environments and tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, and Remix.
- Strong understanding of blockchain principles , token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc.), and DeFi protocols.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and mitigating smart contract vulnerabilities.
