This role involves providing expert legal advice on property acquisitions, development projects, leasing, and related contractual matters. You will play a key part in ensuring compliance with property law and managing legal risks associated with complex developments. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on all aspects of real estate development, including acquisition, zoning, and permitting.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, sale agreements, leases, and development contracts.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on properties and development opportunities.
  • Advise on property finance and securitization matters.
  • Manage property disputes and litigation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant property laws, building regulations, and environmental legislation.

Requirements

  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 6 years' experience in property law and real estate transactions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial property law, conveyancing, and development finance.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills specific to real estate.
  • Experience with due diligence processes for large-scale property developments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Sound understanding of land use planning and environmental regulations.
