About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the financial services sector, is actively seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of critical business systems. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to user acceptance testing and full deployment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful integration and adoption of new technologies. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining the benefits of remote flexibility with essential in-office collaboration for key project phases and team synergy within our Pretoria offices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of enterprise systems, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. You will be instrumental in optimizing business processes and enhancing operational efficiency through technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects focused on business systems implementation (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS).
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate activities between business units, IT development teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the system configuration, customization, data migration, and integration testing phases.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure a smooth transition to production environments.
  • Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation and resolution strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong emphasis on business systems implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving ERP, CRM, or similar enterprise-level software.
  • Solid understanding of business processes across various functional areas (e.g., finance, HR, operations).
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
