Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily delivery and pick-up schedules for parcels and documents.
  • Operate a company van or light truck safely and efficiently.
  • Plan optimal routes considering traffic conditions and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure packages are handled with care and delivered to the correct recipients.
  • Obtain necessary signatures and confirmation of deliveries.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the assigned vehicle.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers.
  • Resolve delivery issues or customer queries professionally and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (Code 10/C1 preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a courier or delivery driver.
  • Good knowledge of the Tembisa, Gauteng area and surrounding transport networks.
  • Excellent driving record with no significant infringements.
  • Physical fitness to handle packages of various sizes and weights.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and route optimization.
