About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join their esteemed team in Johannesburg. This role is pivotal in ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for early childhood development and a commitment to fostering growth and learning. You will be instrumental in shaping the early experiences of children, contributing significantly to their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
- Supervise children's activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Provide basic care such as feeding, changing diapers, and comforting children.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Observe and assess children's development, identifying any areas requiring additional support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with other childcare professionals to enhance program quality.
- Manage daily routines and schedules efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting.
- A deep understanding of child development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergencies.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification is a plus.
- Reside within or be willing to relocate to the Johannesburg area.
