About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled and resourceful Technical Support Agent to join their growing team, supporting customers based in and around Richards Bay. This role is crucial for assisting customers with technical challenges related to our products and services, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum user satisfaction. You will be a key member of the support infrastructure, providing effective troubleshooting and timely resolutions. This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement, allowing you to contribute your expertise from the comfort of your home office while collaborating with a dedicated support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Guide customers through step-by-step solutions and product usage instructions.
- Document all support interactions, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions, in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior support engineers or relevant departments.
- Stay up-to-date with product updates and technical advancements to provide accurate support.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Support Representative or in a similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
