Our client is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Operative to join their essential services team in Kimberley . Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization duties in designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is used safely and effectively.
- Handle and dispose of waste materials, including general refuse and potentially hazardous substances, in accordance with regulations.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns encountered during shifts to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning or sanitation role is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
