Introduction

Clicks is on the hunt for an exceptional Risk and Security officer for our Centurion Distribution Centre. The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the DC complies with occupational health & safety guidelines. Your primary role will be advising on measures to minimize hazards and you will be required to maintain a safe working environment, reporting to the Finance & Risk Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage security service level agreement
  • Risk related investigations
  • Minimize financial loss related to theft, vandalism, accidents and injuries
  • Develop ways for detecting safety issues and security violations
  • Develop and implement and monitor H&S plan, processes and procedures in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, relevant by laws and SANS standards
  • Conduct quarterly risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results
  • Develop and implement safety and security programmes
Job Experience
  • Minimum 3 years safety and risk management experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/hr environment
Job Related Skills
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively
  • Ability to prioritise numerous tasks and unexpected situations
  • Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office
Education
  • Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Grade 12
Job Related Knowledge
  • Sound understanding of OHSA
  • Knowledge of fire prevention systems
