Walvis Bay Stevedoring (Pty) Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer with offices located in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz. The Company is looking for one (1) disciplined, self-confident, responsive, and experienced SHEQ Officer. The position will report directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the MGN SHEQ Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Advise and assist Management on SHEQ matters.
2. Develop and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and guidelines.
3. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
4. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and provide recommendations for prevention.
5. Deliver SHEQ training sessions, TBTs, SHEQ meetings, and workshops to promote awareness.
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to SHEQ activities.
7. Contribute to a culture of SHEQ and sustainability within the organization.
8. Contractor management and induction.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management or relevant qualification.
2. Proven experience in implementing and auditing SHEQ systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001).
3. Computer literacy is essential.
4. 3 years’ related experience is essential.
5. Exceptional cognitive, communication, interpersonal, and technical skills are essential.
6. Experience in the relevant Labour Act and OHS Regulations.
