Job Advert Summary

The Analyst – Technical and Application testing is responsible for designing, developing, and executing quality assurance and control processes, test strategies, test plans and test cases that verify software application conformance to defined acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Linking test cases to business/systems requirements to ensure traceability, execute test cases, log defects and create test ware.
  • Supporting business users during user acceptance testing.
  • Developing test plan, approach, and scope.
  • Providing input to standard test metrics and reporting.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing.
  • Working with Business to influence and monitor User Acceptance Testing.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Implementing Application Test Plans and Strategies.
  • Translating all business requirements into testable work packages.
  • Leading testing operations and acting as coaches and advisors to teams.
  • Contributing to resource planning for application testing and related workload.
  • Preparing required test data for application testing and ensuring its accuracy.
  • Executing Test processes and test cases based on test scenarios.
  • Contributing to the evaluation of new technologies testing and continuous improvement of applications testing.
  • Writing Test Execution and Reporting for all planned application testing.
  • Participating as a team member of manual and automation test analysts.
  • Developing Test Cases for application User Acceptance Testing.
  • Performing test rehearsals before the testing commences.
  • Liaising with the Business to develop Technical Business Specifications for all Applications.
  • Prioritising requirements effectively based on business value, cost to deliver, and time constraints.
  • Organising and synthesising information provided by stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Development of Functional and Test Specifications.
  • Effectively communicating solution impact to stakeholders.
  • Conducting/Supporting Functional, User Acceptance, and End User Testing.
  • Reviewing User Acceptance Testing Results and ensuring application systems requirements are being addressed.
  • Analysing test outputs and corrective actions.

Preferred Minimum Education and Experience:

Education: Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Experience: 3 - 5 Years in software testing, writing complex testing strategies and plans, technical testing reviews, and application solution test designs.

  • Proven success in technical application testing.
  • Experience in planning and executing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and RT (Regression Testing).
  • General awareness of technologies (ARIS, SAP, Microsoft Applications).
  • Experience in full software quality assurance lifecycle.
  • Test Lead position, leading a test automation team.
  • Experience with multiple process and systems methodology application.
  • Experience working with structured test methods and processes.
  • Experience in a test-driven development environment.
  • Ability to interact with various specialists internally or externally to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Performing QA duties of testing undertaken by internal test resources.
