Requirements

  • Certificate in Information Technology or related fields (NQF 5)
  • Diploma in Information Technology or related fields (NQF 6) - Advantageous
  • Additional certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or other industry-related certifications) are a plus.
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Office 365 experience - Advantageous
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and job-specific software)
  • Certificate Microsoft Client Operating Systems
  • Endpoint Security
  • Server and Application Backups

Responsibilities

Cyber Security (20%)
  • Deploy and maintain endpoint security solutions (anti-virus, anti-malware, intrusion detection/prevention).
  • Monitor systems and networks for security breaches and vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to security incidents and take appropriate measures.
  • Raise awareness about cyber security threats and best practices.
  • Deliver and evaluate cyber security training (e.g., KnowBe4).
  • Ensure regular completion and documentation of cyber security training.
Desktops, Laptops, Printers and Videoconferencing (20%)
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware/software for desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Provide end-user support and training.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches.
  • Deploy and monitor Windows updates across the organization.
Backups and Disaster Recovery (20%)
  • Ensure backups run as scheduled and monitor backup performance.
  • Regularly test data recovery processes.
  • Provide reports on backup status and resolve issues.
  • Maintain and update backup hardware/software.
System Support: Sage Payroll, Register My Battery, Warehouse Scanning (10%)
  • Provide technical support for Sage Payroll, Register My Battery, and warehouse scanning systems.
  • Ensure system uptime and user satisfaction.
Compliance and Cost Control (10%)
  • Ensure responsible use of resources and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with financial and operational procedures.
  • Report risks and areas of concern.
  • Implement corrective actions and ensure housekeeping standards.
Customer Service (20%)
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Solve problems efficiently and uphold company values.
