Job Overview

We are seeking a senior manager to contribute to the development of Group-wide learning solutions that enhance the value of Learning in achieving our strategy and realizing our vision – Africa is our home, we drive her growth. This role involves delivering on our Learning strategy by researching and designing diverse development experiences in collaboration with business leaders and People and Culture (P&C) colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex learning programs that meet the needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Experiment with learning technologies to optimize the value of learning experiences.
  • Develop and implement plans to increase adoption of learning tools and improve engagement with learning experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in learning, including 3-4 years of leading a team.
  • Strong experience in Learning and Development, Project Management, and Learning Design.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage relationships with vendors.

Technical Competencies

  • Learning and Development: Strong experience in Learning and Development.
  • Project Management: Exceptional skills in managing and organizing multiple parallel projects.
  • Learning Design: Exceptional skills in learning experience design and academy design.
  • Communications: Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • External Partnership: Experience in partnering with vendors for learning value.
  • Learning Technology Adoption: Ability to devise and execute plans, engagements, and campaigns to increase adoption of learning tools for increased engagement with learning experiences.
  • Learning Technology: Experience in sharing learning experience digitally through most appropriate platforms – LMSs, LXPs, micro-learning platforms, content libraries etc. Experience in using people insights technology to harness data insights for learning experience improvement.
