Vector's vehicle fleet includes a food industry first in 'multi-temperature' vehicles enabling the company to service business across frozen, chilled and ambient temperature zones on a single delivery.

Job Purpose
To coordinate the pickup and delivery schedule of stock through the distribution center.

This position will be based at Shoprite Midrand.

Key Responsibilities

1. Place orders for Stores through the call centre.
2. Perform stock on hand counts for all principals at the DC.
3. Inform all stores of promotional activities and drive promotional activity with the sales team.
4. Ensure the optimum stock is delivered to the store to support any in-store promotion.
5. Take in orders from Vector sales reps and process orders for specific drives or additional volume.
6. Manage sales orders.
7. Manage returns and product recalls.
8. Manage stock levels by regularly checking stock on hand on the depot floor.
9. Check for expired stock and notify the relevant manager.
10. Follow up on short delivery's and arrange the re-orders.
11. Liaise with the sales team and buyers.
12. Conduct price surveys.
13. Resolve customer complaints.
14. Follow up on deliveries from Principals to the depot.
15. Ensure that the stock cover is high on best sellers and optimum on other products.
16. Action the optimal flow of merchandise including fulfilment of product marketing introduction deadlines capacity planning.

7. Champion training and development of self and others through utilizing available training opportunities or contributing to the development of new training solutions in collaboration with national training specialists.
8. Participate in and drive regular performance appraisals and ensure that own targets and goals are clear and achievable.
9. Maintain a basic appreciation and awareness of employee relations climate and ensure corrective action is taken where required in line with relevant legislation and company policy.
