Installation and Repair Technician (Remote)
Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Installation and Repair Technician to join their fully remote team, supporting operations initially based in Durban . This role is pivotal in ensuring that client systems are correctly installed, maintained, and repaired, guaranteeing optimal functionality and client satisfaction. Although remote, you will manage on-site installations and repairs as needed within designated service areas, coordinating effectively with clients and internal teams. About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Perform installations of new equipment and systems, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and client requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software malfunctions, performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent potential issues and ensure system longevity.
- Provide on-site technical assistance and support to customers, explaining technical procedures in an understandable manner.
- Manage service schedules and logistics efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize client disruption.
- Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and parts used, within the company's database.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical installation, maintenance, and repair roles.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and network systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency with common diagnostic tools and software.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
