About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and professional Delivery Driver with a Code 14 license to enhance their operations in George . This position involves the transportation of goods to various destinations within the region and beyond, requiring a high level of responsibility and driving skill. You will be the face of the company to many clients, making professional conduct and excellent customer service paramount. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within the beautiful Garden Route area, contributing to a dynamic and efficient delivery network. We are looking for a reliable individual committed to maintaining safety standards and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a heavy-duty truck (Code 14) in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within the scheduled timeframes.
- Securely load and unload goods, paying close attention to cargo integrity and weight distribution.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any defects or needed repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, fuel usage, and any incidents encountered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
Requirements
- Valid Code 14 driver's license and professional driving permit (PDP).
- Proven experience operating large commercial vehicles.
- Excellent knowledge of South African road networks and traffic laws.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and company regulations.
