Location: Fully remote from South Africa. This role will be reporting into our Africa and Middle East Financial Controller and will be working within that region.

Schedule: Five days per week, 08h00 - 17h00 South Africa Standard Time.

Salary: The salary is between R20,000 - R25,000 per month, and is dependent upon location, experience, skills, and training.

What you will do:

The AP & AR Accounting Clerk will be detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, and sensitive to deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required and ability to work with cross functional teams. Self-starter with interest in working in a fast paced virtual environment. Can work toward objectives and accomplish tasks without daily direct supervision.

  1. Process all vendor invoices and agent payments in a timely manner
  2. Invoice entry, ensure proper coding, seek and follow up on all invoice approvals
  3. Monitor and promptly respond to all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable related chats, emails and HubSpot tickets.
  4. Processing employee/agent expense reimbursements
  5. Reviewing invoices and vendor statements
  6. Assisting with month end and year end
  7. Conducts discrepancy research for agent/vendors with inquiries to payments or invoice related issues.
  8. Monitoring agent deductions for unpaid fees
  9. Monitoring agent payments for Bridging Finance used
  10. Prepare, verify, and process invoices for real estate and agent receivables
  11. Enter data on invoices; ensure proper coding and details on documents
  12. Issue invoices to customers – daily and monthly
  13. Issue monthly customer statement as needed
  14. Request new billing items as needed with accurate coding information
  15. Checking the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final invoice
  16. Collect all information needed to produce accurate customer invoices
  17. Answer questions from customers regarding invoices
  18. Assist in identifying problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions
  19. Other duties as assigned
  20. Produce customer invoices for different types of customers both companies and individuals

How you will grab our attention:

  1. Bachelor's degree or QBE
  2. 3+ years of full cycle accounts payable processing
  3. 3+ years of full cycle accounts receivable processing
  4. 2+ years of experience with mid tier accounting systems
  5. Ability to collaborate across the organization and plan
  6. Ability to multitask and handle high volume processing
  7. Ability to work independently and with little supervision
  8. Excellent communication skills
  9. Able to problem solve
  10. Able to pick up errors and inconsistencies

Working Conditions:

Remote Location: This position allows you to work from any location in South Africa with a stable internet connection. You are expected to provide your own workspace and reliable internet access.

Work Hours: While core hours are based on the local business schedule, you have flexibility in organizing your work, provided it does not compromise project deadlines or team collaboration.

Equipment and Expenses: You will be provided with a company computer and other necessary equipment. Work-related expenses will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
