Job Description

The Universal Banker (Level 1) position is a critical role within our financial institution, responsible for addressing the diverse banking needs of Personal, Prestige, and Private Banking clients. This position demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The role will require a successful candidate to be fit and proper as per FSCA Regulatory FAIS Representative requirements and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in all aspects of their work.

Qualifications

  1. National Certificate in Banking (NQF5 FAIS-recognized qualification or above)

Experience Required

  1. 3-5 years' experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on FAIS qualifications and financial advisory roles.
  2. Proven and strong sales background, consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets through effective cross-selling and upselling of banking products (e.g., loans, credit cards, mortgages, savings, and investment solutions).
  3. Demonstrated success in generating new business, building a robust sales pipeline, and driving revenue growth in a branch banking or contact centre environment.
  4. In-depth knowledge of banking operations including account management, transaction processing, and client relationship management.
  5. Strong understanding of banking products, policies, and regulatory compliance.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
  7. Must meet FSCA Regulatory / FAIS Representative requirements.
