Business Strategy Head: Insure & Invest

FNB Insure & Invest Pillar is currently recruiting for a Business Strategy Head.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive strategic projects in the Invest & Insure Pillar.
  2. Coordinate teams to ensure end-to-end implementation of prioritized and approved solutions for Insure & Invest.
  3. Ensure effective analysis of data for identification of opportunities for efficiencies and growth in business.
  4. Manage and support the team in designing customer-centric and sustainable solutions, products, enhancements, and business cases, ensuring effective integration across channels to deliver on the strategic objectives of product houses.
  5. Manage people by executing management responsibilities and creating an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence.
  6. Develop, encourage, and nurture collaborative relationships within the business and/or across the FRG.
  7. Develop new insights into situations and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements.
  8. Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes.
  9. Integrate business information, compare, analyze, and produce reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies for decision-making purposes.
  10. Set tactical goals and optimize the use of people, finances, and technologies to realize those goals.
  11. Apply a customer-centric approach to ensure customer satisfaction.

The Ideal Fit for the Role:

  1. Bcom / BSc Degree.
  2. At least five years' experience in strategic and operational insurance work.
  3. Long-term and short-term insurance experience and knowledge.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Proven ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels.
  6. Driven to consistently exceed expectations, strong work ethic and perseverance, with the ability to operate "in the grey."
