About the Role
Our client, a prominent firm within the manufacturing sector located in Queenstown, Eastern Cape , is seeking ambitious individuals to join their Junior Business Analyst Apprenticeship program. This role is an excellent stepping stone for those looking to develop expertise in understanding business needs, analyzing processes, and recommending solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The apprentice will work alongside experienced business analysts, gaining exposure to requirements gathering, process mapping, data analysis, and solution design. We are looking for individuals with strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen interest in business operations and technology. This position offers a significant learning opportunity within a key industry player in the Queenstown area. The role requires on-site presence to foster team collaboration and operational understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the development of process maps and flowcharts.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights relevant to business objectives.
- Help in defining functional and non-functional requirements for new systems or processes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Assist in testing and validating new systems or process changes.
- Prepare reports and presentations on analysis findings and recommendations.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions.
Requirements
- Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of business principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Visio (or similar diagramming tools).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and individually.
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
- Familiarity with business analysis tools or methodologies is a plus.
