Morae Global is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Development Representative - Associate Manager | Manager (depending on experience) to manage our BDR team. You will be responsible for managing, leading, and training the team while still performing BDR responsibilities.
LOCATION: Observatory, Cape Town

WORKING HOURS: 1pm SA time to 10pm SA time
POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead, manage, and develop a growing team of BDRs, ensuring their success in achieving individual and team KPIs.
- Define ideal customer profiles and refine target lead lists for outbound efforts.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective outbound messaging strategies.
- Monitor BDR activities, including outreach volume, conversion rates, and demo bookings, using data-driven insights to optimize performance.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Create scalable processes and systems to support BDR growth and efficiency.
- Report on BDR team performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with broader sales goals.
- Hiring, onboarding, and training new BDRs as the team expands.
As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of management experience who is ready to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, innovative environment. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by connecting businesses with the Legal and IT solutions they need to succeed.
What you will bring:
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written - Near Native Level English.
- You can communicate in a clear, goal-oriented way that leaves no room for interpretation.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Booking outbound meetings through cold calling.
- Generating outbound meetings through a multi-channel approach of emails, social selling, networking, and independent research.
- Establishing genuine relationships with key stakeholders across the business and externally with our different clients.
- Engaging with a range of prospects, including C-suite/Directors, from various organizations ranging from Blue Chip to the Public Sector.
- Leading discovery conversations with prospects on behalf of our clients to unearth challenges and understand digital roadmaps for the coming year.

Key responsibilities of a corporate sales representative might include:
- Prospecting and lead generation: Identifying potential clients within target industries and generating qualified leads through networking, cold calling, and market research.
- Relationship building: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts at client companies, understanding their business challenges and goals.
- Needs analysis: Conducting in-depth consultations to assess client needs and identify opportunities to match their requirements with the company's products or services.
- Solution selling: Presenting customized proposals and demonstrating how the company's offerings can address specific client pain points and deliver value.
- Account management: Maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients, managing renewals, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Sales reporting and forecasting: Tracking sales performance, analyzing data, and providing regular updates to management on sales pipeline and potential revenue.
- Market knowledge: Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to effectively position the company's offerings.
