RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Management of Qualifications Development Stakeholders through excellent service delivery in accordance with the five CETA Values (Agile; Result-Orientated; Integrity; Respect; Professionalism).
  2. Screening, selection and recording of stakeholder applications to be on a panel / pool of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  3. Compilation and continuous update of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) database.
  4. Delivery of newly developed occupational qualifications and skills programmes within 18 months.
  5. Conduct site verification visits to Accredited Assessment Centres.
  6. Collaborate with the Qualification Development Specialist in developing an annual operational plan for the review/re-alignment/development of occupational qualifications and skills programmes.
  7. Oversee the planning and future development of standardized learning materials and other resources to support the delivery of occupational qualifications.
  8. Preparation and reporting on the progress realized on the departmental annual, quarterly, and monthly targets.
  9. Perform any other relevant duties as directed.
  10. Compile and submit to the Specialist monthly reports.

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  1. A three-year university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in education, training and development or related field.
  2. A postgraduate qualification, or evidence of study towards one, would be an added advantage.
  3. At least three years' experience in quality assurance or a related area, preferably in a SETA.
  4. Experience in Assessments and Moderation processes.
  5. Experience in project management of qualifications/curriculum development.
  6. Knowledge of the QCTO policies, procedures and processes.
  7. Understanding of the PFMA.
  8. Understanding of corporate management.
  9. Above average understanding of the South African skills development environment.
  10. Being trained as an assessor and/or moderator will be an added advantage.
  11. Administrative/Management experience.
