About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and strategic Public Relations Executive to join their dynamic team in East London. This role is responsible for developing and executing PR campaigns that enhance brand visibility, manage reputation, and foster strong media relationships. You will play a key part in shaping the company’s public image through compelling storytelling and effective communication strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PR professional to make a significant contribution to the company's success in the Eastern Cape region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated PR strategies to meet business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and influencers.
- Write and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze results, and report on campaign effectiveness.
- Manage crisis communications and provide timely responses to media inquiries.
- Support the planning and execution of PR events and press conferences.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
- Proven track record of successful PR campaign management and media relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape in South Africa.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
