About the Role Our client, a prominent management consultancy, is seeking a driven Management Consultant to contribute to their Economic Development practice. Based in Mahikeng, North West, this role focuses on advising regional governments, development agencies, and private sector entities on strategies to foster sustainable economic growth, job creation, and investment attraction. You will engage in analysis of regional economies, identification of growth opportunities, and development of actionable plans to stimulate development. This is a unique opportunity to shape regional economies and drive meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct economic impact assessments and feasibility studies for development projects.
- Analyze regional economic data, market trends, and investment climates.
- Develop strategies for industrial development, infrastructure investment, and SME support.
- Advise on policy formulation and implementation to enhance the business environment.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including government officials, business leaders, and community representatives.
- Develop business cases and proposals for development funding and investment attraction.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of economic development initiatives.
- Contribute to research and thought leadership in economic development.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic development consulting, policy advisory, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of regional economic dynamics, development theories, and policy instruments.
- Proven experience in economic analysis, impact assessment, and strategic planning for development.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse team settings and manage project deliverables.
- Familiarity with government development frameworks and funding mechanisms.
