About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and creative Building Design Architect to join their fully remote team, serving projects across South Africa. This role focuses on the conceptualization and development of functional and aesthetically pleasing building designs that meet diverse client needs and site-specific challenges. You will collaborate with a dispersed team of professionals, utilizing advanced digital tools to bring architectural visions to life. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced architect who values autonomy, innovation, and the flexibility of a remote-first work environment, contributing to impactful projects from Mahikeng and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and practical architectural designs from initial concept through to detailed design development.
- Create compelling visualisations, renderings, and design documentation using state-of-the-art software.
- Collaborate with remote engineering consultants, project managers, and clients via virtual platforms.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and sustainability principles.
- Research and propose innovative materials and construction methods.
- Manage design iterations and revisions based on feedback and technical requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in architectural design and project delivery, with a strong portfolio.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and 3D modeling/rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion).
- Demonstrated understanding of South African building regulations and construction practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks effectively in a remote setting.
