We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Claims within the Insurance sector.

Scope of Services:

  • Understand the business issues and data challenges of company's organization and industry.
  • Identify company's organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement.
  • Ensure that the recommended solution is both commercial and competitive.
  • Understand business requirements and translating them into specific software requirements.
  • Understand both technical designs and specifications.
  • Analyse and document the required data and information.
  • Evaluate information harvested through surveys and workshops, task analysis, and business process description.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the customer.
  • Effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver GUI, interface and screen designs.
  • Act as an interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units.
  • Define, analyse, and document requirements.
  • Manage requirements at the project level leads to fulfilling business needs.
  • Assist with required business cases.
  • Plan and monitor relevant controls and/or business processes.
  • Requirements organisation.
  • Translate and simplify requirements.
  • Requirements management and communication.
  • Requirements analysis.
  • Use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.

Business Analysis:

  • Obtain and analyse business and system requirements from formal and informal sources.
  • Articulate Business Requirements accurately against the business needs.
  • Socialise Business Requirements, ensure continuity to the Technical Specification and Test against the original requirements.

Process Mapping and Management:

  • Facilitate process mapping across organisational functional areas with specific focus to customer engagement activities.
  • Evaluate the process from an end-to-end perspective, with a specific mandate to re-engineer and improve processes to enhance the customer experience and drive down unnecessary wasting (time/resources etc.).
  • Facilitate agreement on new process and ensure appropriate hand over to business owners.
  • Ensure that customers see a standardised and professional engagement process across all implementations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with strategic alliances to achieve departmental and shared objectives.
  • Build relationships that are not hindered or biased by remaining objective and impartial.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

Problem Identification and Solution Providing:

  • Evaluate; identify and highlight all bottlenecks / issues in customer engagements (channel; systems; processes; people interaction etc.).
  • Meet with clients by means of conducting interviews and understand their specific challenges.
  • Document all findings.
  • Collate findings and categorise findings into a prioritisation model which is in line with the key business drivers.
  • Communicate recommendations to relevant parties and facilitate their agreement.
  • Facilitate and agree initiative prioritisation.
  • Prepare initiative brief.
  • Produce an agreed detailed brief covering the nature of the solution, costing, timings and resource requirements.
  • Execution Management (dependent on the environment).
  • Post Implementation Evaluation and Support.
  • Reporting.
  • Proactive Team Support.

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Business Analysis diploma.
  • 5-7 years of business analysis experience.
  • Experience in the Insurance /banking industry.
