About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join their fully remote security team. This role is essential for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats to protect the organization's digital assets. You will analyze security events, investigate incidents, and implement measures to strengthen our defenses against an ever-evolving threat landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoints.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, identifying root causes and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments to identify and report security weaknesses.
- Assist in the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
- Contribute to threat intelligence gathering and analysis to proactively identify potential risks.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement security controls and best practices.
- Participate in incident response activities, ensuring swift and effective resolution of security breaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and security principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent are a plus.
