Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team in East London.

POSITION INFO: Job Description:

  1. Is responsible to ensure that continuous improvement is made in all Production MEQ Quality Deliverables (e.g.: RPPM, CPPM, IPPM, SPPM, Quality Costs, Customer Product Audits and Warranty / JD Power).
  2. Ensure that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using the company problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving Document "PSD", PCAD, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.).
  3. Liaise with QA Manager and Lead Engineer daily on concerns, feeding back through the correct systems to satisfy customer demands.
  4. Assure that all Quality activities are performed according to IOS-, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 standards and specific customer requirements e.g. VDA6.3.
  5. Represent plant in Program SDT Team, assuring execution of plant-related PRP tasks.
  6. Responsibilities may change based on QMS / IOS Documentation updates in line with automotive standards.
  7. Review all production methods for compliance to quality standards and for improvement of product and quality standards.
  8. Ensure Quality Registers are maintained.
  9. Review the Control Plan in line with Product, Manufacturing Process, and Change Management Process.
  10. Initiate deviation process to the plant if product and process deviate from the released intent referenced in the Control Plan.
  11. Ensure Product audits: schedule of all commodities carried out as per schedule.
  12. Participate in workgroups to ensure the quality input. Review with risk management related documentation (FMEA, Control plan, etc.).
  13. Deviation Authorization (if needed), Training Records.
  14. Communication with all relevant departments (e.g. Engineering, etc.) and therefore the responsibility to coordinate corrective actions in case of product/process deviations & non-conformances.
  15. Communicate with internal & external departments for quality-related issues and transfer the customer requirements/information to the plant.
  16. Perform duties based on reasonable instruction given by Quality Manager.
  17. Maintain and control Customer Part Submission documentation.

Job Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree is required (or equivalent experience).
  2. Specific education and training in Quality disciplines including, as a minimum, IATF, QS9000, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control plans, DOE, and SPC.
  3. Minimum 8+ years experience as a Quality Engineer.
  4. Minimum 5 years in the Automotive Industry.
