Duties & Responsibilities
  1. National Business Development: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to increase our market share within South Africa. Cultivate strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  2. International Business Expansion: Research and identify potential international markets for our services. Build and nurture relationships with international clients and partners. Lead the charge in expanding our footprint in global markets.
  3. Customer Engagement for RFQs: Regularly meet with customers to understand their needs and secure RFQs. Work closely with internal teams to prepare and submit competitive proposals.
  4. Digital Marketing Oversight: Manage our social media platforms, ensuring content aligns with our brand and objectives. Engage with our audience and respond to inquiries to drive engagement.
  5. Sales Assistance: Collaborate with our sales team to close top tenders and achieve KPIs. Provide support in negotiations and contract finalization to secure business opportunities.
  6. Market Analysis and Planning: Conduct thorough market research to inform our business development strategies. Work cross-functionally to align our initiatives with company goals.
  7. Proposal and Presentation: Craft compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our capabilities. Drive negotiations and close deals to secure new business opportunities.
  8. Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on business development activities and analyze key performance indicators. Provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Proven experience in business development in the engineering sector.
  2. Degree in Engineering or related field.
  3. Strong understanding of the South African business landscape and international markets.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  6. Results-oriented with a track record of exceeding targets.
