Your contribution to the energy transition:

  1. Exercise judgement and take responsibility for all SCADA requirements of a PV, BESS and Wind power plant.
  2. Approving datasheets related to the materials and components selected by subcontractors.
  3. Translating the contractual obligations into technical requirements and SCADA design pile specifications, scope of works, bill of materials and evaluate standards for SCADA Systems.
  4. Provide technical advisory and support to Project Development, Sales, Project Management, Project Purchasing & Logistics, Engineering, Construction Management, Commissioning, and limited O&M Support.
  5. Management of engineering activities with internal team, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliant project execution.
  6. Ensuring contractual schedule and payment milestones are achieved, including reparation / compilation of design packages, and tracking thereof.
  7. Responsible for complete review of technical drawings such as panel wiring diagrams and communication architectures.
  8. Support the implementation of the SCADA system and associated equipment from kick-off to handover.
  9. Drafting of design reports / system functional descriptions.
  10. Implement cost saving initiatives as and where possible and applicable.
  11. FAT and SAT activities.
  12. Evaluate and optimize SCADA system HMI, reporting system, alarm management, historian, configuration version control and disaster recovery plans.
  13. Engineering problem solving.
  14. Ability to work with minimum support.

You impress us with these qualifications:

  1. Electrical / Electronic Engineering qualification, BTech or BSc, B Eng or equivalent.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in automation or SCADA and plant control in a renewable energy context.
  3. Technical knowledge on multiple communication protocols not limited to Modbus, IEC, DNP, IEC-50- / 4, OPC-UA, MQTT.
  4. Ability to integrate the OT and IT networks in line with cybersecurity standards like IEC and ISO.
  5. Vast experience in the implementation of resilient and redundant network according to industry standard protocols including RSTP, HSR, PRP, MRP, etc. according to IEC and IEEE norms.
  6. 3+ years performing L2 / L3 network implementation and configuration.
  7. The candidate should have demonstrated the ability to work in matrix organizations and to operate and navigate within an international company.
  8. Ability to work independently.

The following are advantageous to the position:

  1. ECSA Registration as Candidate Engineer / Technologist.
  2. Experience with SQL and other open-source database management.
  3. Experience in programming languages such as Java, C, C#, Python.
  4. Proficient in Linux Operating Systems.

  8. Demonstrated experience with SCADA implementation for solar PV plant design and / or RE power plants in the utility scale space.
