Job Responsibilities:

  • Support sales representatives to enhance customer services by being in the field, visiting customers and assisting sales representatives with their client base.
  • Maintain current customer base through visibility in the fields, attending to the needs of customers and enhancing the name brand of Deli Spices.

Independence (Finance):

  • Assist in achieving the set trading target.
  • Introduction of Deli Spices' product promotions and new potential products.
  • Support in-store promotions.

Customer Centricity:

  • Build key customer relationships with exciting customers by:
  • Implementing regular call cycles (customer visits).

Promotions & Demonstration:

  • Introduce all Deli Spices' product promotions to customers.
  • Be available to support all customers in-store - demonstrations and or promotions.

Store openings:

  • Will be actively involved in all store openings.

Market Feedback:

  • Provide information related to market trends, pricing, and product performance.
  • Working in sync with senior sales representatives and sales coordinators:
  • Obtaining actual weekly orders from customers.
  • Forward orders to sales coordinators.
  • Address any customers' concerns and communicate any unresolved issues to Sales Representatives.

People:

  • Align yourself to the performance-driven culture through the implementation of performance management and talent management.
  • Align yourself to the Mane Code of Ethics.
  • Align yourself to the Value System.

Process:

  • Establish direct business relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Implement regular call cycles to harvest future growth.
  • Use the "Telesmart" system to ensure all items used are being checked for orders.
  • Ensure sound communication ("Call Cycle") between the internal sales team and Sales Representatives.
  • Cold calling, including proposals.
  • Meet potential clients.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels.
  • Communicate new product development needs to HMR Channel Head.
  • Assist NPD by communicating relevant requirements.

  • Adhere to the Code of Ethics and drive ethical business practices across the group including the management of anti-competitive behavior.
  • Participate in Group wellness and CSR activity and utilize group resources in this regard.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS LEVEL:

  • Matric Certificate/ Hospitality Management/ BSc Consumer Science/Food Tech Diploma or food-related qualification.
  • 2 - 3 years working experience within a similar field.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word and MS Excel will be advantageous.
  • SYSPRO working experience would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of the Meet and Butchery or Home Meal Replacement industry will be advantageous.
