Fruit Trader

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain or related
• At least 1 year experience trading fresh produce, or in exports
• Knowledge of INCO terms and export documentation

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and selling fresh fruit to international markets.
• Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and trends in the global fruit trade.
• Prepare and negotiate offers, contracts, and pricing structures with guidance from senior traders.
• Ensure efficient order processing, from sales confirmation to delivery.

Logistics & Operations:

• Coordinate export documentation, shipping schedules, and quality control procedures.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, cold storage facilities, and other logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing supply chain efficiency.

Regulatory & Compliance:

• Ensure all transactions comply with international trade laws, phytosanitary requirements, and export regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, shipments, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in managing costs, payment terms, and credit control with customers and suppliers.
• Monitor currency exchange rates and their impact on pricing and profitability.
• Support in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
