  1. Oversee line maintenance is being carried out with regards to quality and efficiency;
  2. Conduct routine inspections for the quality of the technical maintenance;
  3. Provide on-the-job training to the Technical Team (Technicians);
  4. Provide guidance with regards to fault finding and rectification;
  5. Provide guidance and knowledge on the maintenance of the applicable aircraft during the maintenance contract;
  6. Oversee A-checks as well as weekly service checks;
  7. Monitor the quality of the work being performed;
  8. Monitor the status of the ageing progress;
  9. Oversee, review, and approve all required paperwork to ensure compliance with quality inspection standards;
  10. Monitor and manage shift rostering to ensure an optimal balance between available manpower and workload requirements;
  11. Conduct ground runs;
  12. Supervise the team and report on the team's performance;
  13. Act as a resource, coach, and mentor;
  14. Set team goals in order to meet the overall business needs;
  15. Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the team to ensure productivity;
  16. Assist the team with finding solutions to complex work;
  17. Identify and remove barriers that reduce efficiency or effectiveness;
  18. Foster an optimal working environment that recognises and rewards success;
  19. Manage employee relations and personnel functions (i.e., leave);
  20. Be part of the recruitment and training of staff by ensuring that re-current training and OTJ training takes place;
  21. Liaise with third-party service providers.
