An established entity within the Hospitality Industry, based in the North West Province and within the Klerksdorp area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Food Service and Hospitality Supervisor.

Experience: The successful incumbent must possess at least three (3) years' experience, working at a Supervisory level within the Hospitality Industry.

Formal qualifications: A minimum of a Higher Certificate or a National Diploma qualification, Basic food hygiene certification, Valid driving license code 08, Computer literacy with regards to MS Office and specifically Word, Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities:
  1. The Food Service and Hospitality Supervisor must oversee the front of house activities and the operations of the Guesthouse.
  2. Ensuring that service delivery and servings run efficiently and effectively.
  3. Manage shifts and ensure that serving of food and provision of hospitality services are done efficiently and effectively managed.
  4. Check event calendar entries and ensure that requirements are fulfilled.
  5. Maintain good behaviour and discipline amongst the team in the guesthouse.
  6. Liaise with the Management team regarding rotations and staff requirements.
  7. Arrange and attend functions and events.
  8. Plan, host, and manage internal and external events, functions, and hospitality.
  9. Maintain inventories of all equipment and manage stock.
  10. Conduct stock take, stock control, and coordinate and manage the administrative requirements.
  11. Ensure that the stores are kept tidy and neat.

  10. Physical ability to set up events, move furniture and other equipment, and load and unload catering requirements.
  11. Good organisational skills – ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
  12. Presentable, clean, and professional with high standards of personal cleanliness and hygiene.
  13. Willingness and ability to be flexible in working hours including the ability to work evenings and weekends.
