Description: As a Salesforce Developer with over 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, your role would involve a mix of technical skills and responsibilities tailored to meet the specific needs of the banking sector. Here are some key aspects:

Technical Skills:

  • Apex Programming: Proficiency in Salesforce's proprietary language for developing custom business logic.
  • Visualforce: Experience in building custom user interfaces.
  • SOQL and SOSL: Writing efficient queries to interact with Salesforce data.
  • Integration: Using REST and SOAP APIs to integrate Salesforce with other banking systems.
  • Data Modeling: Designing and managing complex data models.
  • Security: Implementing robust security measures, including role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security.
  • DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices for Salesforce.
  • Banking Domain Knowledge: Understanding of banking processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Custom Application Development: Create custom applications tailored to banking needs using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
  • Enhancements: Continuously improve existing applications to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Database Management: Design and manage complex data models to support banking operations.
  • Query Optimization: Write and optimize SOQL and SOSL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval.
  • Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with third-party banking systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Middleware: Work with middleware tools to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems.
  • System Configuration: Configure workflows, approval processes, and validation rules to streamline banking processes.
  • Customization: Customize Salesforce to align with specific banking requirements, including page layouts, record types, and custom objects.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues to ensure the smooth operation of the Salesforce platform.
  • User Training: Train end-users and provide documentation to help them effectively use Salesforce.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure all solutions comply with banking regulations and industry standards.
  • Security Measures: Implement robust security measures, including role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with other developers and IT teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery.
  • DevOps and Deployment: Utilize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices to streamline the development and deployment process.
  • Version Control: Manage code versions and ensure proper documentation of changes.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer 1 certified and Salesforce Platform Developer 2: Preferred.
