About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Agricultural Engineer to join their dedicated team. This role requires an engineer with a strong understanding of farm machinery, irrigation systems, and infrastructure development. You will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions to improve agricultural efficiency and sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test new agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Optimize irrigation systems for water efficiency and crop health.
- Plan and oversee the construction and maintenance of farm infrastructure, such as barns, storage facilities, and processing plants.
- Apply principles of mechanics , thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to agricultural processes.
- Conduct site assessments and provide engineering recommendations for land development and resource management.
- Ensure that all engineering designs and implementations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in agricultural engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design principles.
- Strong understanding of farm equipment, irrigation systems, and construction practices.
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
