About this role

As a member of the Finance Team, you will support the sales and marketing teams by providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance. The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to drive financial performance, optimize budgets and support long-term business growth. The role requires a strong technical background and advanced financial modelling skills to drive business performance and decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  1. Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support division initiatives.
  2. Ability to challenge and build to achieve operational efficiencies and savings.
  3. Monitor financial performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  1. Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Financial Modelling & Compliance:

  1. Create and maintain complex financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  2. Ensure financial practices align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  3. Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  4. Support audits and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Performance Monitoring:

  1. Monitor financial performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.

Strategic Support:

  1. Partner with division leaders to develop and execute strategic plans and offer financial guidance.
  2. Work closely with teams to understand business needs and align financial strategies.
  3. Present financial reports and insights in a clear and actionable manner.

Data Management & Process Improvement:

  1. Utilize financial software and tools to manage and analyze data effectively and to drive efficiencies within the team and the business.
  2. Assist in improving financial processes, reporting systems and data accuracy.

Education level

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  2. CA (SA) or CIMA/SAICA/CPA strongly preferred.

Experience

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with a focus on business partnering.
  2. Experience in supporting sales and marketing functions is highly desirable.
  3. Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  4. Strong knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  5. Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  6. System implementation experience.
  7. Global finance experience a must.
