Job Description: The IT Systems Administrator will help manage our IT systems, networks, and security across the African region.
You will work with the global IT team to support servers, backups, cloud services, and cybersecurity while ensuring systems run smoothly with minimal downtime.
This role also involves troubleshooting issues, managing user accounts, and assisting with IT projects and upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  1. Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, all site IT systems, backup, and server/network infrastructure, including firewalls, physical/virtual servers, network switches, WIFI access points, data storage mediums, end user computers, mobile devices, printers/copiers, UPS, RFID, and its related management solutions e.g., VMWare, Cisco Meraki, VPN solutions, SIP plans, Veeam.
  2. Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, all site domain services including DC, AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, FTP, IIS, file/print services, MDT, remote desktop gateway.
  3. Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, Intune, providing asset discovery, disk encryption (BitLocker), onboarding and management of all computers with Helpdesk.
  4. Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, the Office365 technology stack.
  5. Storage management, this includes local storage and cloud storage e.g., SharePoint for all sites.
  6. Maintain the currency of site network diagrams for all sites.
  7. Co-monitor with the global IT Operations team, the uptime of all server and network related equipment via PRTG.
  8. Network management, including the maintenance of site main and backup Internet circuits, bandwidth management, vendor, and cost analysis for the African region.
  9. Remediate, and be primary POC for site cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application related matters for the African region and to a lesser extent the Americas region.
  10. Remediate, and make informed decisions as primary POC for all SOC escalated incidents during the African region work hours and to a lesser extent the Americas region.
  11. Co-plan and execute tech refresh and IT projects for the African region.
  12. Responsible for afterhours and in office hours patch management in collaboration with the global IT Operations teams, this includes workstations, servers, and networking devices in compliance with Australia's Essentials 8 Maturity Level 1 for FY24/25.
  13. Responsible for afterhours and in office hours vulnerability remediation in collaboration with the global IT Operations teams, this applies to critical application vulnerabilities flagged via the Vulnerability Management platform.
  14. Manage Active Directory user commissioning, decommissioning and group policy management in collaboration with the global IT Operations team, Helpdesk and HR.
  15. Contribute to an SLA of uptime of 99.9% for the Group's global IT services across all sites, this translates to an unscheduled downtime of no more than 8.5hrs each year.
  16. Technical advisor to IT Project Manager and IT Operations Manager for all new project initiatives in relation to the African Region.

Requirements:

  1. Qualification and Skill: Information Technology Degree or similar.
  2. 3 years of experience managing corporate Windows Server infrastructure.
  3. 3 years of experience managing corporate Network infrastructure.
  4. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent will be advantageous.
  5. Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or equivalent will be advantageous.
  6. Cybersecurity related qualifications and work experience will be advantageous.
  7. A minimum of 3 years in a similar role and minimum of 10 years in Information Technology roles.
  8. Demonstrable experience working with networks including cloud access, VPN, Wi-Fi, telecommunications and network related security.
  9. Demonstrable experience working with security products such as mail, web, endpoint, identity, mobile devices, multifactor, SIEM & Log management software.
  10. Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
  11. Exemplify and encourage the core values and ethos of the business.
  12. High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of information technology hardware and platforms for both on premise and cloud environments.
  13. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
  14. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
  15. Good organisational and time management skills.
