We are looking for a Line Technician in the Pretoria East area.

POSITION INFO : Requirements :

  1. Matric and certified Mechatronics Artisan / Millwright Artisan.
  2. Experience with electrical circuits (E-Plan).
  3. Ability to manufacture tools from 2-D drawings, 3-D CAD.
  4. Robotic Programming (spot welding, MIG welding) / PLC programming.
  5. MS Office.
  6. Analytical / fault finding ability.
  7. Systems and deadline driven.
  8. Well developed interpersonal communication skills.
  9. Strong organisational skills.

Experience :

  1. Experience in the Automotive industry preferred.
  2. 2 - 5 years Experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience with electrical circuits (E-Plan).

Duties Include :

  1. Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the robotic equipment used in production and ensure the quality of sub-assemblies, maintain the equipment, identify and resolve issues, and follow safety protocols.
  2. Install, test and maintain industrial controls / PLC programs (software and hardware).
  3. Maintain program (Robotic, PLC) or welding parameters.
  4. Read and understand drawings and design concepts (E-plan drawings).
  5. Perform continuous routine diagnostic checks on automated systems.
  6. Isolate problems and repair or replace any necessary components.
  7. Monitor the line OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
  8. Record and demarcate scrap / suspect parts after possible interference.
  9. Maintain safety systems and ensure systems functional at all times.
  10. Perform planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
  11. Ensure conformance of product to the required specification.
  12. Provide line support to production in order to minimise down time.
