We are seeking an experienced Chief Economist to drive market growth and sustainability in Durban.

About the Role
  • Conduct economic research and analysis to inform policy decisions and strategic advocacy locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to boost market growth and sustainability in agriculture sectors such as fruit, grain, and related commodities.
  • Analyse trade policies and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Advocate for industry interests with government and international bodies to secure favorable agreements.
  • Manage high-performing teams and deliver key insights to stakeholders to drive business growth.
Educational Requirements
  • Honours/Master's degree in Economics, Trade Policy, or a related field.
Work Experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in agriculture in Management or Executive level roles.

Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
